From Narita International Airport

Airport Limousine Bus services between Narita and Tsukuba/Tsuchiura is the most convenient way. It takes about 1 hour to get Tsukuba via an expressway. Before boarding at the airport, purchase a ticket for “Tsukuba Center” (2,200 JPY) at the counter below.

Terminal 1... North Wing 1F Keisei counter

Terminal 3... 1F Bus ticket counter

The bus stop is No.8 (Terminal 1 & 3) or No.10 (Terminal 2). Timetable and other information are available on the websites of the bus companies.

For return trip to Narita, you need to reserve your seat in advance. It is highly recommended that you purchase a ticket for Narita at Kantetsu Service Center (open: 9:00 to 19:00) when you arrive at Tsukuba Center. The Service Center is very close to the bus stop of Tsukuba Center. Online booking is also available on the Kantetsu website

 

From Tokyo Haneda International Airport

If you will arrive at Haneda Airport, there are several means of transportation for Tsukuba. 

Airport Limousine Bus is available from Haneda too. Timetable, ticket counter, and other information is on the website.
